WATER SUPPLY: urban Nanchong has 938 kilometers of water supply pipes, and 1,089 kilometers of sewage pipes, and is capable of supplying 528,000 tons of water daily.
POWER SUPPLY: as one of the most hydraulic-resource-rich and most developed areas along the Yangtze River, the Nanchong-section of Jialingjiang River has 9-grade power-generation project with an installed capacity of 920,000 kilowatts and annual power generation of 4.5 billion kilowatt hours. Nanchong boasts 22 transformer substations of 35 kv and above that form a main grid of 500 and 220 kv, and sub-grid of 35 and 10 kv. Together, they guarantee 99.9% of electricity stability and a daily capacity of 8 million kilowatt hours.
GAS SUPPLY: at 96%, the natural gas coverage rate in Nanchong is among the top in Sichuan Province, and daily gas capacity exceeds 1.5 million cubic meters.
COMMUNICATIONS: the total capacity of telephone switchers in Nanchong exceeds 2 million, internet access users passes 266,000, optical telecom cables extends more than 15,000 core-km, and post routes amount to 4,904 kilometers, making the city a communication hub of Northeast Sichuan.
SEWAGE TREATMENT: downtown Nanchong boasts a large-scale sewage treatment plant with a daily treatment capacity of 120,000 tons, while the counties in its jurisdiction all have their respective sewage treatment plants.
